Background and experience

Suzette worked in the education sector for fifteen years before studying for a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Level Four at Lambeth College.

She has worked with a variety of clients including working with women who have been victims of Domestic Abuse on a one to one basis. She worked at a Women’s Centre working with women who have experienced crisis in their lives.

Suzette is a also part of the Into The Light Counselling and Support for Survivors of Sexual Abuse Team. She is a one to one counsellor and a Facilitator of the Into The Light Ten Week Psycho-Education Course and also a Facilitator and Presenter at the Into The Light Workshops. She is also a counsellor at a London High School working with young people. She is passionate about supporting and empowering women and has lots of experience working through relationship issues; helping women to have healthier and more fulfilling relationships.

She has worked as a counsellor in a diverse range of settings including:

  • Workshop Facilitator and Presenter
  • Group Facilitator of a women’s psychotherapy psycho educational group for Survivors of Sexual Abuse
  • One to one counsellor in community settings including a women’s centre
  • School Counsellor in London High School

Professional Memberships

All of our counsellors are Members of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy one of the main professional bodies for counselling in the UK and adheres to their strict code of ethics. The BACP Register was established in 2012 and was the first psychological therapists’ register to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care, an independent body accountable to Government. The main purpose of the Register is to protect the public. It provides reassurance to clients, employers and the general public that a registered therapist adheres to high standards of proficiency and good practice.
